The Oliver Branch Grenache 2010.

Made by Willunga from old bush-trained vines, this Grenache is aged for nine months in barrel. It has lovely fruit: deep-set and whilst ultra ripe and sweet, at the same time concentrated and savoury rather than jammy. Nutty-sweet character and very good balance in the mouth with powerful, creamy tannins and well-judged acidity. Big, but lovely.

“This incredible wine has the most alluring mulberry pie aroma and velvety texture it will wow every one of your senses in a heartbeat.  It’s a rich red and it’s designed for wintry fare and you will love it.  The Olive Branch will not only signal friendship to all who encounter it, but might even kick off uncontrollable hugging, too!”

Willunga 100, The Olive Branch Grenache 2009

It’s a big, comforting, textured pom-pom of a red perfect for cosying up with on a cold evening. It smells glorious — of dried herbs and red berries — and is tamed with a little oak.
